The Fairlight Foundation 2027 Internship will commence on 11th January 2027 and end on 17th December 2027.
There is a 2 week semester break in the middle of the year
Interns will reside in shared living quarters on the station.
The Fairlight Foundation covers accommodation costs, course fees and provides some farm clothing and personal farm equipment. Interns will also receive a modest weekly stipend for food and incidentals.

Be female, aged 21 and over
Be a NZ citizen or permanent resident
Have obtained, or will this year graduate with a tertiary level agricultural, agri-business or animal science qualification.
Be committed to a future career in the agricultural industry

The Internship Application Process
Laura Koot will be presenting at Massey University, Room AH5 in the AgHort Block at 1130am on Wednesday 18th March 2026.
Lincoln University date will be confirmed in the new year.
All women that are interested are encouraged to attend this information session.
Attend the Open Day at Fairlight Station on Saturday 11th April 2026 from 11am to 2pm.

The Selection Process
A selection panel will review all applications and create a shortlist that will then be interviewed by a panel via online video conference. A chosen number will then be invited to individually visit Fairlight Station for orientation and familiarisation (getting to know each other). The three successful candidates will then be offered an internship position.
